Background
The 174-amino-acid form of human Granulocyte-Colony-Stimulating Factor (G-CSF) is more abundant and active than the longer form (180-amino-acid) and widely used in research and therapeutics. PEGylation (polyethylene glycol) significantly extends half-life of the recombinant human G-CSF protein.

Pegylated Recombinant Human Granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (PEG-G-CSF) Protein is a single non-glycosylated polypeptide chain containing 175 amino acids with a molecular mass of 38,800 Daltons.
The ED50 of PEG-G-CSF protein, calculated by the dose-dependant proliferation of murine NFS-60 indicator cells, is < 0.1 ng/ml, corresponding to a specific activity of 6.0x10^7 IU/mg. PEGylation (polyethylene glycol) significantly extends half-life of the recombinant human G-CSF protein. Purity: > 95% by SEC-HPLC and reducing SDS-PAGE.
Formulation: Lyophilized from a 0.2 um filtered solution of 10 mM HAc-NaAc, 150 mM NaCl, 0.004% tween80, 5% mannitol, pH4.0.
Reconstitution: Always centrifuge tubes before opening. Do not mix by vortex or pipetting. It is not recommended to reconstitute to a concentration less than 100 ug/ml. Dissolve the lyophilized protein in 1X PBS. Please aliquot the reconstituted solution to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.
