Description

PA007278.m2a: Recombinant Anti-human CD56 Antibody (Clone: N901), Mouse IgG2a Kappa, In vivo Grade

Recombinant mouse IgG2a Monoclonal Antibody.

Background of Anti-human CD56 Antibody (Clone: N901)

The recombinant N901 antibody binds to the human CD56 protein, a homophilic binding glycoprotein expressed on the surface of neurons, glia and skeletal muscle. CD56 is a marker of neural lineage commitment. CD56 expression is found in the hematopoietic system, natural killer cells, and other lymphoid cells, including gamma delta (γδ) Τ cells and activated CD8+ T cells, as well as on dendritic cells. CD56 has a role in cell–cell adhesion, neurite outgrowth, synaptic plasticity, and learning and memory.

1、PD1 blockade enhances cytotoxicity of in vitro expanded natural killer cells towards myeloma cells.
Guo, Y., et al. Oncotarget. 2016 Jul 26;7(30):48360-48374. doi: 10.18632/oncotarget.10235. PMID: 27356741
“With this protocol using anti-human CD16 antibody and interleukin (IL)-2, NK (CD3-CD56+) cells could be expanded about 4000-fold with over 70% purity during a 21-day culture. …The expanded NK (exNK) cells were shown to be highly cytotoxic to multiple myeloma (MM) cells (RPMI8226) at low NK-target cell ratios. …Apparently, developing a protocol for efficient activation and expansion of NK cells to achieve sufficient number of functional NK cells is curial for adoptive allo- and auto-NK cell therapies. …Targeting on immune checkpoint molecules such as programmed cell death protein 1 (PD1) and its ligands PD-L1 and PD-L2 by antibodies to block their inhibitory signaling has achieved great success in treatment of several solid tumors and hematological malignancies. …Compared with the exNK cells without PD1 blocking in expansion system, our results showed that the exNK-PD1 blockage presented a significant higher percentage of degranulated (CD3-CD56+CD107a+) cells (64.0%±1.0% vs. 53.1%±2.7%, P<0.05).”

2、Immunohistochemical observation of local inflammatory cell infiltration in the host-tissue reaction site of human hydatid cysts.
Jafari, R., et al. J Helminthol. 2019 May;93(3):277-285. doi: 10.1017/S0022149X1800024X. PMID: 29708080
“The aim of this study was to evaluate the pattern of local immune cell infiltration in human cystic echinococcosis (CE) by identifying the subtypes of immune cells using immunohistochemistry (IHC). …Fifty surgically removed hydatid cyst samples and surrounding tissues were collected from patients referred to Al-Zahra Hospital, Isfahan, Iran. …IHC was performed on the surrounding host tissue of hydatid cysts using anti-human CD3, CD19, CD8, CD4, CD68, CD56, Ki-67 and Foxp3 (forkhead box P3) antibodies. …The results were then compared to hepatocellular carcinoma and chronic hepatitis. …However, in some cases there were no positive cells for CD56+ natural killer cells and Foxp3+ regulatory T cells.”

3、Analysis of main T-cell subsets and activated T supressor/cytotoxic cells in patients with Borrelia burgdorferi s. lato only infection and co-infections with Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Bartonella spp. and Babesia microti.
Tomasiewicz, K., et al. Ann Agric Environ Med. 2016;23(1):111-5. doi: 10.5604/12321966.1196864. PMID: 27007527
“Directly conjugated anti-human monoclonal antibodies against CD3, CD4, CD8, CD16, CD56, HLA-DR and CD69 were used. …No significant differences were observed with respect to thepretreatment level of CD4+ and CD8+ cells. …Co-infections with Anaplasma phagocytophilum, Bartonella spp. and Babesia microti had no impact on T-cell percentages in Lyme disease patients. …The study was designed to assess the role of some important immunologic factors with regards to both laboratory results and clinical symptoms in patients with confirmed Lyme disease. …In patients with symptoms relief and symptoms persistence, lower percentages of CD4+ and CD8+ cells were found, but with no statistical dependence.”
