MB103-21: Blood Direct PCR Kit
Background
Blood Direct PCR Kit = Rapid blood Genomic DNA Extraction Kit (Catalog No. MB103-20) + 2x PCR PreMix, with dye (Catalog No. MB067-EQ2-100).
Rapid genomic DNA extraction:
Step 1:
Blood (fresh or anti-coagulated): Add 5-10 ul blood into a 0.5 ml microcentrifuge tube containing 200 ul solution C, vortex briefly, and incubate at room temperature for 3 minutes. Centrifuge at 6000 rpm for 1 minute, and remove supernantant completely. Add 100 ul solution A to the tube.
Step 2:
Place the tube in a thermocycler and heat at 95°C for 5 min. Cool the tube to room temperature. Add 10 ul solution B and vortex briefly. Extracted genomic DNA is now ready for use as PCR temperate or for longer term storage at -20°C.
Storage/Stability: Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
