Product NameCDC25B (Phospho-Ser353) Polyclonal Antibody
Supplier Name Syd Labs, Inc.
Brand Name Syd Labs
Synonyms CDC25HU2; CDC25M2; Dual specificity phosphatase Cdc25B; EC 3.1.3.48; M-phase inducer phosphatase 2; MPIP2
Specificity/Sensitivity CDC25B (Phospho-Ser353) antibody detects endogenous levels of CDC25B only when phosphorylated at serine 353.
Reactivity Human.
Immunogen The antiserum was produced against synthesized phosphopeptide derived from human CDC25B around the phosphorylation site of serine 353 (R-R-SP-V-T).
Purification The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific phosphopeptide. The antibody against non-phosphopeptide was removed by chromatography using non-phosphopeptide corresponding to the phosphorylation site.
Form Of Antibody Rabbit IgG in phosphate buffered saline (without Mg2+ and Ca2+), pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide and 50% glycerol.
Stability & Storage Stable for 1 year at -20°C and 3 months at 4°C. For maximum recovery of the product, centrifuge the original vial after thawing and before removing the cap. Aliquot to avoid repeated freezing and thawing.
Note Conditions of optimal CDC25B (Phosphorylated) antibody performance should be determined experimentally by the investigator.

Description

PA001093-A0855: CDC25B (Phospho-Ser353) Polyclonal Antibody
Introduction
M-phase inducer phosphatase 2 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the CDC25B gene. CDC25B is a member of the CDC25 family of phosphatases. CDC25B activates the cyclin dependent kinase CDC2 by removing two phosphate groups and it is required for entry into mitosis. CDC25B shuttles between the nucleus and the cytoplasm due to nuclear localization and nuclear export signals. The protein is nuclear in the M and G1 phases of the cell cycle and moves to the cytoplasm during S and G2. CDC25B has oncogenic properties, although its role in tumor formation has not been determined. Multiple transcript variants for this gene exist.
